FAQ

Frequently asked questions about our retreats

Do I need to be on a strict carnivore or keto diet to come?+

Not at all. The menus are keto and carnivore-inspired, but no prior experience is needed. Many of our guests come simply curious. We always check in on dietary needs and preferences before you arrive.

Is there yoga every day?+

Yes. A twice-daily practice, with a gentle morning session and a longer restorative practice in the evening. Everything is optional.

How small are the groups?+

Intentionally small. We host up to twelve women per retreat, in a private house, so that everyone is genuinely looked after.

Are the retreats only for women?+

Yes. Yoga Meats Retreats is a women-only space, designed and held by a small team of women.

What does the food look like?+

Meals and snacks, prepared by a private chef in the house. Expect grass-fed and pasture-raised meats, eggs, slow-simmered broths, organ-meat options where wanted, and beautifully composed plates with seasonal additions from local farms and estates.

Can I come on my own?+

Most of our guests do. The rhythm of the retreat is designed so it feels easy to arrive solo and leave with friends.

How is pricing handled?+

A £500 non-refundable deposit secures your place. The remaining balance is due by 5 August 2026 (eight weeks before the retreat). Bookings made after 1 August 2026 require payment in full. Payment is made via secure invoice, by card or by bank transfer. Payment plans may be available depending on booking date and availability — just mention it when you enquire and we'll do our best to arrange something suitable.

How do I reserve a place?+

You can book directly through our website — choose your room and pay a £500 deposit to secure your place. If you'd rather ask a question first, send a note through the contact form and we'll reply personally.

What's included?+

Four nights at Persie House in your own private or shared room, all meals and snacks prepared by our private chef, twice-daily yoga, keto and carnivore nutrition guidance, opening and closing women's circles, full use of the estate (drawing room, dining room, grounds, private loch, sauna on Friday and Saturday, and laundry), and complimentary transfers from Dunkeld, Pitlochry or Perth train station. Not included: travel to and from Scotland, and travel insurance.

What is the cancellation policy?+

If you cancel before 5 August 2026, any balance already paid is refunded in full; the £500 deposit is retained. If you cancel on or after 5 August 2026, no refund can be given as costs will have been fully committed — if we are able to offer your place to another woman and she takes it, we'll refund your balance as a goodwill gesture, retaining the deposit. In the unlikely event that we need to cancel, every guest receives a full refund including their deposit. We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers retreat cancellation.
